CLEAN CLOTHES CAMPAIGN

Some pics from a fashion show in the World Village Festival which was arranged in Helsinki. I was asked to take model for Clean Clothes Campaign Finland show and since the it was for a good cause and executed with professional people working on improving working conditions in
the garment and sporstwear industries I was glad to join the team.

The hat is from a Finnish label Costo and made of recycled materials. Check out their website to see all the different models and colours, it's "The Hat" for Finnish youth at this moment. I'm gonna buy one too for myself, fell in love in those at the show! The green dress is by another Finnish company Globe Hope and made of old parachute fabric and strings. Don't you think it's gorgeous, I do!

IVANAhelsinki SS11

A sneak peak to IVANAhelsinki's SS11 collection "Where the Fuck is My Sailor" - I'm loving it so far! Gotta go to the factory some day to touch and see the proto pieces in live, the pictures never give a full experience of the clothes. It seems that the collection is a mixture of mainly cotton and knitted wool clothes. Sail away sailor and leave the clothes for me!

YESTERDAY

Catching some fresh air outside the shop, it was almost 30 degrees out and I guess some like 50 inside! Crazy!

HAVE ANOTHER CHERRY

Yesterday after work gave a yoga class for some friends and afterwards chilled in my backyard with two really close girlfriends and a bottle of red wine. Some time ago on a lazy Sunday we watched The Witches of Eastwick, a movie made in the late 80's about three witches and somehow got to call ourselves as the witches - one blonde, one redhair and one brunette, it was us! Well anyway, last night these three witches gathered together and talked a whole about life and stuff under the moonlight. Then today I remembered these pics, taken by Ellen Rogers for ID magazine, that I've forgotten to show. Love the colours and the mood in them.

ROLLER COASTER OF LIFE

I'm now posting some old pics from last months as I haven't had time (nor energy) to do it before. I've been just enjoying the summer in Helsinki, travelled a bit, to Italy and different happenings and cities in Finland, spent time with friends and got to know lots of new lovely people, worked and taken part in different projects etc etc. It's been definatelly the best summer of my life!

2010 has been a real roller coaster of feelings - it's been hard, crazy and sad after taken the decision to divorce but with time my life has taken a new turn to many positive and good things and I couldn't be more happier now. We are responsible for our own happiness and have to listen to the inner voice which is guiding us, if we just learn and accept to hear it. In the end, even after all the tears and cries, life is beautiful and we should enjoy it - every day of our lives because you never know if it's your last one.

I can't even tell how much i love my friends and family. You mean a world to me, big love!

SOLSTICE

Here's some pics from the solstice spent with one of my best friends in her rooftop. The pics are taken between 22-24, the night was so bright and beautiful that you can't even imagine it if you haven't experienced it before!

FINLAND HAS IT ALL

This outfit was quite Finland inspired - white and blue, IVANAhelsinki skirt and the almost blond girl. Hello Summer!

Check out also the Monty Python song about Finland, it's great!

TAKE A JOPO RIDE

A friend sent me a link to Tsupukka's blog where I found a picture of my bicycle, a red Jopo. Jopo was developed by a Finnish company, Helkama, in the 60's and one can say that it has become a national item, really popular among the Finns. I my opinion, it's the best city bike - of course!

YELLOW MARHSMALLOW

So busy! I haven't abandoned the blog, unfortunatelly it's just not my nr 1 priority now at the moment. Working quite a lot in my day job here in the shop and then teaching yoga some evenings a week. And of course enjoying the warm summer days whenever I can! U should go out too, don't waste your time here! It's the Nature calling!
