SUBURBAN TRIBE IN NOSTURI
Went to see Suburban Tribe, a Finnish band last weekend with a friend. I've liked their music for years but then for a while kinda forgot them. Forgot many good Finnish musicians and bands! But now I've started a journey to my own roots, to the Finnish culture and traditions, and as music has always been important thing for me I'm now discovering Finnish music again with a different attitude and perspective.
The gig was ggggreat and can't even praise enough the lead singer's stage charisma and presence! The whole band worked really well together but the inspiring force was definatelly Ville, with his dreadlocks swinging in the air. Check out the videos I took!

REMINDERS FROM MOTHER EARTH
Just before IVANAhelsinki fashion show in New York there was a big storm in the city. A tornado hit Brooklyn and different parts of NY hard.
Have you also noticed that the weather has generally been changing all over the world? Last summer was the hottest for years in Finland and the winter before that the coldest in 50 years. Hmm. Makes you think, doesn't it? Here's also another video from Helsinki, a big storm fell over the city by sudden. It was like being in a Batman movie!

NORDIC NEW YORK DINNER
Hi guys and gals! After three week's vacation I'm back in Helsinki again and with so many pictures to share with you! Trying to post them whenever I can so please, be patient - as always with my delayed posts...! I know you are and I haven't forgotten you or abandoned the blog, everything just goes with its own pace. Sure you understand, I know you do.
Here's some pics from a dinner in Telepan Restaurant, NYC. Different nordic designers gave a sneek peak of their collections and we enjoyed a beautiful dinner with many interesting people working in different areas of fashion and design.
