NANNANDA

nannanda - empower yourself, love life.

nannanda jewelries are unique, handmade pieces made mainly from recycled materials found from random places. Old coins fallen from indian dancers' clothing, broken belt parts abandoned in floors, parts found from old flea markets, animal bones found from Siberia's forrests - everywhere is the next treasure waiting to be discovered. Every piece is created out of intuition guided by planet Venus, the force of creativity, beauty and love. The root for the name "Ananda" is a sanskrit word meaning "bliss". As such Ananda's meaning can be said to be "great joy" or "great happiness".

nannanda is about feeling strong and beautiful, reflecting experiences and emotions, a way of living. Most of all it is about love - love yourself, love life.

Show nannanda some love here!

CLEAN CLOTHES CAMPAIGN

Some pics from a fashion show in the World Village Festival which was arranged in Helsinki. I was asked to take model for Clean Clothes Campaign Finland show and since the it was for a good cause and executed with professional people working on improving working conditions in
the garment and sporstwear industries I was glad to join the team.

The hat is from a Finnish label Costo and made of recycled materials. Check out their website to see all the different models and colours, it's "The Hat" for Finnish youth at this moment. I'm gonna buy one too for myself, fell in love in those at the show! The green dress is by another Finnish company Globe Hope and made of old parachute fabric and strings. Don't you think it's gorgeous, I do!

KAWAII

At my work, in IVANAhelsinki, we get lots of Japanese turists visiting the shop all around the year. I always admire their sense of combining different styles, colours and textures together - I think they could wear a black plastic bag and still be able to look cool! And they are one of the nicest customers too. Arigato!

Here's some inspiring pictures that captured my eye.
