NANNANDA - SPIRITS

I wanted to make a video for NANNANDA jewelries, to somehow share the emotion, feeling or essence of NANNANDA spirit. So I asked some friends to join the project and we took off to an island last fall and this is what was born in a day. No plan, just a vision and freedom for flow - just like NANNANDA jewelries. I'm SUPER happy with the end result, I hope you enjoy it too.

Big heart to
Meri Mort, my Goddess sister in crime
Joni Helminen, mastermind behind the camera, Time Films
Tiia Savuoja, for keeping us warm and serving us some soul food
Family Wuorenheimo, welcoming our crew to their beautiful island and keeping the sauna warm
Poola Kataryna, for the gorgeous fringe dresses

FUTURE CALLS - PIHASALI YOGA STUDIO

About two years ago I finished my Bachelor degree in businesses and took off for a 4 months trip around the east part of the world. When I came back to Finland my mom suggested that I would take over her company, a yoga studio in Helsinki called Pihasali - Joogaa räjähtäneille. It wasn't even 12 hours from landing back to my home country but there I was, hearing myself answering "yes" to her question. My mind was going "What on earth are you thinking!? Are you crazy, lady?!" but the answer came from somewhere else, from the heart. So the next thing was to find out how to proceed with this project and one year later, summer 2012 I became the happy owner of our small yoga studio and joined the entrepreneurs colourful group! Here's some pics from our reopening and a video. Please have a look and hopefully you get the same feeling which we all had in the party, very happy and grateful.

More pictures of the party in our Facebook group. Pictures and video by Joni Helminen (except two last ones).

BACK TO PARIS

The day came when we had to leave Le Tardoun so me and mom head our way back to Paris.
The mantra's we've chanted in the retreat kept on playing in my head. Om shanti shanti shanti.

PAINTING FUTURE

This is what the past week has been about: painting, cleaning, building, carrying, shopping, creating and smiling - a lot of smiling! Our yoga studio is starting to look like I've seen it in my dreams and soon we'll be opening the doors for everyone to see it. Exciting!!

PIHASALI SUMMER LOOK

Mom and me packed the car with trees and flowers to make our yoga studio
Pihasali bloom like a secret garden for the summer.

And now the old industry building is looking a bit more colorful and lively!

If this test works out well, I'll share more about it later... what will it be hmmmm?

HELLO HELSINKI

Running errands in Helsinki - summer's in the city!
Vintage jumpsuit, self-made nannanda necklace, mom's old sunglasses.

GREEN SUNDAY

A good big bowl of buckthorn porridge with berries, raisins, muesli and a bit of turmeric -
berry power to get the day started!

First some gardening in our plantage in Viikki, ecological living area.

Then collecting nettle for cooking.

Crazy amounts of it, just in the backyard!

Full bag of nettle leaves, super food of Finland.
Food, sleep and later on sauna and swimming in the pool. Sundays are the BEST!
Hope you had a good one too! x
