Odd Week

This week there's lots of things happening in the center. First of all in the Design District area is ODD WEEK event where different stores are arranging suprising events and offers. You should at least go check out ODD DAY market in Diana park on Saturday 16 May 11-16.00 where you can make exciting design finds and maybe see some of the designers too!

In IVANAhelsinki we have also Club Sales on Friday 11-19 and Saturday11-16. Come and make good finds! See you there!

Calm Before the Storm

On my way from school to home I was excited about the calm, nice and sunny weather. Well, after fifteen minutes or so a huge storm started and it was pouring rain - I was so excited! Usually I hate rain but now it felt like the rain will just help the nature to make the flowers and trees bloom.

And the air is so fresh and sweet after rain.

Darn

Today we went to celebrate the Mother's Day to my parents place. Dad made so good food and we watched Mamma Mia! movie which is my mom's favourite. It was actually better than I expected! I was supposted to post some daily outfite pic's but Mr. R managed to loose the pictures from our camera - oh no! Here's one of Sarah that came to visit us in the evening.

Yesterday

Yesterday I decided in the end to go to Kuudes Linja and we had a blast! I haven't danced that much as yesterday for a long time. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the music just made your feet move. Rauha Trio guys made a good decision bringing nice dj's here, thanks for the cool party!

Where to Go Tonight

Tonight it's Funky Elephant Festival's preparty at Mbar in Helsinki. The entry is free and Reino Nordin & Funky Amigo's will be dj'n there. If you're in the center check it out, should be cool!
















Another party worthwhile to check is Soul Kitchen Club at Kuudes Linja. Live performances by

- Gabro & Frank and The Irrationals

Tickets are 9 euro, not bad for (good) live music! If my head is better from migraine, I'll propably join my friends in Kuudes Linja. Maybe meet you there!

Shoes

I've had this shoe project in my mind for a while now. I have a pair of shoes that I haven't used for a while and feels like they need to be updated. Came across with the first picture some time ago and started to think that I could try to do the same with my shoes. Just have to find a nice pair of belts and cut them to fit the shoes. Or then fringes - or both!

Street Art: Alexandre Orion

Check out these street art pieces from a Brazilian graffiti artist Alexandre Orion. He combines stencil graffiti with photography and takes pictures of people interacting with the art pieces. Very nice!

How nice is it that I have a free day from work today! How uncool is it that of course today I wake up in a migraine and will propably have to spend the day at home in medicine fumes - %#¤!?&#!!
